I always make sure to watch out for whever the reviewer starts talking about their own opinion. Whenever I see the words "I think__," or "to me, this __" then I make sure to take the following opinions with a grain of salt. However, I make sure to pay attention to facts in the review. The problem is, it's hard to find real honest facts. Like some reviewers might say the control configuration is cumbersome, but I might like it. The reviews for Fallout 3 said the game glitched like crazy, but I think they were overexaggerating, since I hardly found any glitches in the game myself.
That's why, when I make a review, I simply let the reader know this is gonna be pretty much entirely my opinion. I don't think there's such a thing as a completely objective review, or even a review that's close to it. So I might as well be as opinionated as I can. That's also why I don't even really bother with big-name reviews like IGN or GameSpot, since I know it's just their opinion and experience with the game, especially if it's only one person reviewing. Maybe if they formed some sort of review consensus, then the review would be more valid and objective, but if it's just one person judging the game, I fail to see how it's anything more than one man's opinion.
So yeah, never really persuaded or disillusioned with a review
