Well, it's always fun to hate on games!
About Uncharted, I have to disagree. I mean, sure, Drake's punchlines seem like something out of a Bruce Campbell movie, or even less, but that's the funny thing about it! As for consistency's sake and the plot hole, you are absolutely right! Yes, they could have just disconnected the wagons, but that would imply everyone on the train was instantly aware there was someone else on board and, even though that does become apparent after the first few wagons, and you were a paid to kill mercenary, would you just disconnect the wagon or rather take that smug bastard down on your own?
As for the bullet and regenerating health, the game wouldn't be any fun if all it took was 1 bullet to kill Drake. I mean, in MW2, in the end, you get a knife through the chest and drift in and out of consciousness, till Soap patches you up with good old duct tape. During said game, though, you've probably soaked up hundreds of potentially more lethal bullet wounds, again like you're Wolverine! Consistency is always good, but in terms of gameplay mechanics and dramatization, sometimes it's best to leave it out.

I'm torn between the two opinions on the health thing. I mean, I'm with Syko in that it makes no sense whatsoever, but then I'm also with SirP in that true realism wouldn't work (at least for that game).
Perhaps though, they could compensate for a realistic health system somehow. Number of enemies? Enemy aggresiveness? Body armour? Uh....I dunno...some other method?
Ya, I dunno. I'm torn. The few hours of the game I played were okay, but I found it overrated and formulaic. The health thing definitely bothered me as well. On the other hand, it played nicely, it looked great, the cutscenes were very nice, and the story was nothing particularl novel, but it was interesting enough.

Well, I'm not a fan of regenerating health myself. If you've decided to go that route, but also be dramatic/cinematic about the story you are telling, something's gotta give, though! That's all I'm saying.

Well, I've heard varying opinions on FFXIII. Personally, I've played very little. From what I've heard, the game is linear till chapter 11, from where it opens up so you can grind, if you want, or you can keep going with the main story, which is another linear path. Still, no matter what path you take, there aren't any more dialogues, or character development other than what happens in the main plot. You meet no one, you talk to no one, you learn nothing and besides crystarium from grinding, you earn nothing. I really don't see the point.

I heard that it generally takes 10-20 hours. Anyway, chapter 11 is the spot it opens up. Take as long as you like.

That would imply Nathan Drake has even one tenth the level of charisma Bruce Campbell has
As for the mercs, I'm pretty sure they'd know something was up just by seeing their own helicopter blowing up their own train. And some of the enemies on the train were just doing a normal patrol, completely inattentive to the shitstorm that just happened behind their wagon. As for whether or not the mercs cared enough about Drake to "take him down on their own," again, if they don't even care enough to keep an eye out on the area behind them where Drake would obviously be coming from, then I doubt they care enough to give him the decency of a face-to-face showdown.
Whatever happened to health bars and shit? Why can't the Uncharted games have that? You know, a measurement of the durability of the body armor Drake never wears because he'd rather dress up like a poster model for Wrangler Jeans! It's the same reason I hate Lara Croft for choosing skimpy clothing over practicality. Drake goes to all these places guaranteed to get shot at, and the fucker doesn't even bother to wear a body vest. A t-shirt and blue jeans are more than enough for this guy! Fuuuuck that.
All in all, Nathan Drake is just too fucking "average," it drives me up a wall. He's so bland that Ben Stein looks at him and goes "he's a very bland person who isn't interesting in any way." He drags down his game to the ground in my opinion, and the gameplay just isn't interesting or engaging enough to pick up the slack for a mediocre cast of characters all around.
