If you have not heard, as of april 15, original xbox will no longer be supported on xbox live. This includes any xbox games that are compatible with 360.

They say this is going to make a lot more features possible, im not against it, i havent played a original xbox game on live in a long time. But it is disappointing to know ive lost the ability to throw in a old game with a friend on live, i think they have taken something from some peoples xbox live experience.

Think of all the halo 2 junkies that are going to cry themselves to sleep for days....

Why not? PS2 support is still up, and we pay for live....

Bungie plans on rewarding all of those Halo 2 junkies, so they at least have something to look forward to.

There are a few downloadable Original Xbox Games on Games On Demand that have online functions, I don't see why they don't at least keep support for those games. If they don't there better be a hefty fucking discount for those games after April 15th, seeing as how a good chunk of it is now defunct. Hell, at least keep up support for Halo 2! I don't wanna have to buy the PC version that my computer can't even run anyway because I'm still running on FUCKING WINDOWS XP just to play online. I'm sure there could be some sort of private server system implemented in Xbox games still running good online communities, unless there's no way to bypass Xbox Live in order to reach the private server.

Just imagine though, in a couple of years, games like MAG and Warhawk will be absolutely completely fucking useless. Games now have expiration dates, unless Microsoft and Sony find some way to allow games to run online, even if they lose support from Xbox Live and PSN. Hell, have fucking GamSpy run the damn servers, they've been keeping Halo 1 for the PC alive for fucking years now, and I'm sure Microsoft has completley forgotten about that game.

I'm not sure exactly. I think I remember something about special badges for anyone who played Halo 2 online in future Halo's. As well as giving away prizes to people on the last day it is online. I only recall that the person who gets the winning kill on the last game gets something, but they mentioned others as well.
