How long does it take to be classic? 1 Year, 10 Months ago

Well the title kinda says it all.
How long before a game is considered a classic? Are xbox and ps2 games now classics? I dont feel like they are mostly because they are still making games.
I was just going through some of my stuff and came across my boxes of consoles and games, all the classics, xbox and gamecube are packed away with the rest of it, i guess they are classics now...

some are i think. Okami, ICO, Shadow of the colossus, ZOE2(i may be biased on that one).

I always sort of assumed, although I guess it's rather ambiguous, that anything 2 generations back and beyond is considered classic gaming.
